Real Madrid : Wasting time on Javier Hernandez

There has been several reports about Jose Mourinho's interest in signing Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez from Manchester United to cover up for the loss of Gonzalo Higuain in long term injury

Hernandez has been sensational so far in his debut season for Manchester United, already scoring some very important goals for the club. His work rate has been phenomenal and his pace and aerial ability continues to give headache to defenders every time he gets on the field. He is even fluent in English and that has enabled him to settle down pretty fast into the team and is a popular character in the dressing room.

But now, with Real Madrid being short on strikers, there have been reports that Real Madrid are prepared to offer up to 20 million for the Mexican international. Other probable targets for Madrid include Edin Dzeko of Wolfsburg and Fernando Llorente of Athletic Bilbao but Mourinho seems to be very keen on Chicharito.

Honestly speaking, i cannot see this move materialising. First of all, Javier Hernandez has just joined Manchester United this summer and even he would not be interested in leaving Old Trafford after winning the hearts of United faithfuls in just a short span of time.

Another big obstacle would be Sir Alex Ferguson. Sir Alex is very strict about letting players leave will not entertain any bids unless Hernandez shows any serious intentions of leaving which i also think is impossible.

Hernandez will develop into a terrific player if he stays at Old Trafford and Madrid's intention of signing him is just a waste of time if the rumour is true. they might as well pursue other targets because there is not a single chance that Hernandez will depart from Old Trafford this January

Messi and Ronaldo : Who is my choice?

There has been lots of debate on who is the better one between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

In my opinion, i feel Ronaldo is better. I know this view is going to generate many critics but i have some reasons for saying so.

Basically, Ronaldo is player with good height and body and has to ability to dribble at excellent pace with his trademark skills meanwhile Messi is a rather small player with wonderful dancing feet as he has the ability to dance past players.

Since joining Manchester United in 2003, Ronaldo has grown in stature and has become one of the most talented footballers on the planet. What makes him so adorable to watch? Ronaldo is a player who can do something magical even in moments when you expect him not to. That quality stands out for me. He has the ability to inspire a team by himself.

Don't get me wrong here. Messi is certainly a magical player as well but i believe that part of his huge success is down to the type of service he gets in Barcelona. With quality players like Xavi and Iniesta around him to provide all those ball, he thrives. But as we see, when he plays for Argentina, it doesnt happen. Argentina play a different style of play compared to Barcelona and he seems to struggle to add that genius touch into his performances for Argentina.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo thrives on his own, he can literally score from anywhere on the field. He can perform for the team even the whole team, collectively are not performing. When he left for Real Madrid, many said that he would struggle without the help from Rooney that he used to get at United, but he has defied all the odds and has arguably been Madrid's top performer this season. He also produces some good performance for Portugal except that he is not so consistent for them.

Besides, i feel Ronaldo has more attributes that Messi. Ronaldo is a better aerial threat that Messi. Ronaldo's set-pieces are one of the best if not the best in the world. All these qualities makes him stand out compared to Messi.

Take Messi and put in Madrid, i don't think he will play as good as he is doing at Barcelona. But take Ronaldo and put in Barcelona, no problemo.

Perhaps, only his arrogance overshines him at times. But being a genuine football fan, i prefer to look at his abilities and while attitude is important in life, talent is also important.

But hats off to Messi to for the way he treats the world with grandiloquent style of play.

Whatever it is, for me, for now, its VIVA RONALDO!
